The iDA-X001 head unit by Alpine Electronics promises to bring you the best in-vehicle iPod experience with easy control and access to all your music through a brand-new interface.
It's equipped with a color 320 x 240 pixel TFT screen that displays artist, album and track information, and even album art from the iPod. Menus that are navigable exactly like the iPod.
The iDA-X001 includes only one built-in audio source (an AM/FM tuner), connects via USB, and carries the "Made for iPod" seal. The only thing it's missing is a CD slot.
Alpine Europe has introduced a new in-vehicle interface adapter that connects a fifth-generation iPod to an Alpine video monitor that allows users to play and watch videos.
The Alpine KCE-415i adapter can control an iPod through an Alpine head unit or remote control, and also charges a connected iPod automatically.
The adapter is compatible with the following Alpine monitors: TME-M860, TME-M770S, IVA-D100R/RB, IVA-D310R/RB, IVA-W200Ri, PKG-2000P, and PKG-1000P.
Pricing was not immediately available. It’s also not clear when the KCE-415i adapter will be available in the U.S.
Alpine announced its Vehicle Hub at the 2006 Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas.
The Alpine VehicleHub Pro lets you add aftermarket components such as amps or processors to your factory installed system, regardless of vehicle brand and dashboard configurations.
You can continue to use your factory equipment, but use the Orb, advanced command unit, to control your entire system.
You can even create a full 5.1 surround system by adding one of Alpine's multi-channel processors or theater amplifiers.
Alpine's KCA-420i is an in-vehicle interface adapter that allows you to cruise with your iPod.
Simply use the KCA-420i to plug in your *iPod, iPod Photo or iPod mini into any compatible Alpine Ai-NET head unit, and you are ready to groove to your iPod in your car.
You can quickly search and listen to your iPod tracks directly from your head unit, and even use a remote control. The power to control key playback functions is at your fingertips.

Some may require their KCA-420i Alpine iPod Interface to listen to your iPod.
