The TuneVroom team had a great time meeting and talking with exhibitors and visitors to the Macworld expo today. The iPod buzz is strong at the show with tons of iPod products. The show is huge compared to the diminutive East coast show which we are used to attending - San Francisco is "the place" to experience Macworld.
The day started with many of the Mac faithful clamoring to follow the keynote, which was not available as a live web stream this year. Thankfully MacRumors had an excellent auto-refreshing AJAX-based web page that fed everyone's appetite for up-to-the-minute information.
While the big story of the keynote was not iPod related, there were a couple tidbits of news ... Apple announced the new iPod Radio Remote which combines the convenience of a wired remote control with new FM radio capabilities.

When the new remote is attached to an iPod nano or fifth generation iPod, a new "radio" menu appears that allows you tune into the desired FM frequency using the standard iPod controls.
Steve Jobs also announced that 42 million iPods have been sold since its launch in 2001 and that in 2006 over 40% of all cars sold in the US will offer iPod integration - these are amazing statistics that go to show the iPods true mass-appeal.
