We found a cool application at the Crutchfield web site. Called, digital drive-thru, it assists iPod users with the way to connect your iPod with your model car.
Step 1: Select Your iPod
- iPod Classic 1st/2nd generation (no dock connector)
- iPod Classic 3rd/4th generation (with dock connector)

Step 2: Select Your Vehicle and Car Stereo
Using Crutchfield's Car Selector:
- Select car year
- Select make
- Select model
- Select body type

Then follow the prompts for the Crutchfield's Car Stereo Selector to choose a factory-installed or aftermarket stereo. If aftermarket factory ...
- Select brand
- Select stereo
- Select model
(If your particular stereo configuration is not listed, there is a universal results selector.)

Step 3: Review Your Options
On this page, notice the tabs that show you the various ways to connect your iPod (from best to basic), including:
