Mopar, DaimlerChrysler’s original equipment manufacturer, announced yesterday that it has expanded the availability of its iPod Integration Kit for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicle owners.
The iPod Integration Kit provides direct iPod connectivity in factory-installed Chrysler Group automobile sound systems.
The kit, which features a custom cable port installed in the vehicle’s glove box, connects to an iPod, provides charging capabilities, and enables the iPod to play music through the vehicle audio system.
Maxxcount announced the Denison Gateway 500, an iPod adapter for the Audi A6, A8, Q7 with the MMi system.
Using this system the iPod can be controlled via the original car radio or the steering wheel remote control, and charges the iPod while connected.

Alpine Europe has introduced a new in-vehicle interface adapter that connects a fifth-generation iPod to an Alpine video monitor that allows users to play and watch videos.
The Alpine KCE-415i adapter can control an iPod through an Alpine head unit or remote control, and also charges a connected iPod automatically.
The adapter is compatible with the following Alpine monitors: TME-M860, TME-M770S, IVA-D100R/RB, IVA-D310R/RB, IVA-W200Ri, PKG-2000P, and PKG-1000P.
