Griffin Technology has announced an updated PowerJolt auto charger for iPod.

The new model is available in black with matching cables, a dock connector, and a detachable 48" USB to mini-USB cable for connection to Griffin iTrip (and iTrip nano).

It plugs into any 12V accessory port or cigarette lighter socket and charges your iPod while playing music or in standby mode.

The convenient status LED shows that your iPod is connected, and changes color to indicate whether the iPod is charging or fully charged.

PowerJolt's replaceable fuse protects your iPod from overcharging or power surges.

The PowerJolt also comes with a free LE version of Griffin’s iFill software, which automatically loads Internet radio content to your iPod.
